This month’s featured ima artist is Joe Perez, a gifted photographer and videographer. He uses both a Canon DSLR and a GoPro to capture scenery and moments he edits together with the Adobe Suite. His recent projects include a slow motion capture of the beauty found at Orange County’s beaches and the Newport Back Bay and also the raw nature found during a recent camping trip to the Sierras.
Additionally, he provides a different perspective with his photos using kite aerial photography, capturing a new angle on life. This provides a unique view allowing observers a new experience of land ecology and the entire scope of a locale; giving people an understanding of how the fabric of our world is weaved together. “I want my audience to be inspired to travel to distant places and hopefully capture moments to share with the world.”
Joe Perez has been with ima for two and half years working on ima projects at Cypress Village, Trabuco Center, Boeing, Perris Valley Line, Tustin Legacy Affordable Housing Competition, and Westfield North County Mall. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture.
