ima Projects in the News: San Manuel Expansion

“Viva Southern California” might just become the next common phrase! Last month, San Manuel Casino announced the official groundbreaking on its much-anticipated $550 million expansion project, set to transform the resort. The 75,000 square foot area will include restaurants and retail shops as well as a pool complex, spa, and fitness center to complement the new full-scale hotel. The casino welcomes more than 8.3 million guests a year, and the expansion will allow them to offer a complete resort experience to even more vacationers and visitors annually.

The resort expansion is a prime opportunity for ima to seamlessly blend its experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry into one project. Rob Moffat, the ima Principal on the project, has an extensive background in the entertainment industry, particularly with area development for theme parks and attractions, creating global destinations. His work has been recognized by USA Today, the International Design & Development Awards, and many more.

Southern California casinos are beginning to expand and becoming staple venues and sources of entertainment for local residents and vacationers alike. The architecture for the expansion is being designed by WATG, and is set to be built in phases for completion in 2021. ima is proud to bring its touch to this exciting project, adding hospitality and increased entertainment offerings, growing the San Manuel Casino to a world class entertainment destination for years to come.
