3rd and Dangler is a National CORE proposed 78 unit affordable apartment transit oriented community located in the heart of East Los Angeles. Located adjacent to the Metro Gold Line, residents are within walking distance of two rail stations. The 0.52-acre three story project is nestled into a hill side site, integrating it into the surrounding community.
Ground floor amenities include a community center, public plaza and fountain leading to an interior courtyard with local art. Secure on-site parking and enclosed bicycle storage complete the multimodal transportation amenities. A fenced pocket park with play equipment and rest areas was added for the neighborhood to enjoy.
Each apartment home includes a patio or balcony. A second floor courtyard and third floor roof terrace function as the communities’ private outdoor recreation with a tot lot, barbecues, covered trellis, table games, community garden planters and outdoor lounge furniture encouraging health fitness and facilitating community involvement.
