ima is commissioned to be the master landscape architect by the Irvine Company for their newest community, Cypress Village. ima created the design concept for this community and then articulated the design through every phase including construction and implementation. This included a number of community components such as the entry design character and structures and street character. In addition, we coordinated the design intent with Irvine Company Apartment Communities, selected builders and the Irvine Unified school district projects. Our role is to lead and coordinate and work together with the client’s engineers and design professionals.
The client desired a strong landscape statement that included a formal Italian feel to the community. This design approach included using traditional dependable design solutions that result in a timeless community. Unified, evergreen landscape choices provide a distinctive landscape reinforcing the goals of this community.
